1. A method, performed by a user equipment (UE), the method comprising:
receiving, from a source cell, a conditional handover configuration via a radio resource control (RRC) message, the conditional handover configuration information including configuration of a plurality of candidate cells for a conditional handover and conditions associated with the plurality of candidate cells;
evaluating whether the conditions associated with the plurality of candidate cells are met;
in case that a condition associated with a first candidate cell is met, performing a first handover to the first candidate cell based on the conditional handover configuration, the first candidate cell being one of the plurality of candidate cells for the conditional handover; and
in case that the first handover to the first candidate cell fails, performing a second handover to a second candidate cell based on the conditional handover configuration, the second candidate cell being one of the plurality of candidate cells for the conditional handover.
