1. A method of decoding video data, the method comprising:
determining a first intra prediction mode to decode a first block;
determining, based on the first intra prediction mode, a first plurality of candidate reference lines available for multiple reference line processing of the first block;
determining, among the first plurality of candidate reference lines, a first reference line;
decoding the first block of video data using the first reference line;
determining a second intra prediction mode to decode a second block, the second intra prediction mode being different than the first intra prediction mode;
determining, based on the second intra prediction mode, a second plurality of candidate reference lines available for multiple reference line processing of the second block, the second plurality of candidate reference lines being different from the first plurality of reference lines;
determining, among the second plurality of candidate reference lines, a second reference line; and
decoding the second block of video data using the second reference line.
