1. A user equipment (UE) for wireless communication, the UE comprising:
a transmitter; and
a receiver configured to:
receive, during a first monitoring occasion associated with an application and during an operation according to a first mode, first data associated with the application;
receive a message indicating completion of the first monitoring occasion, the message being associated with a first transition from the operation according to the first mode to an operation according to a second mode; and
receive, according to a second monitoring occasion associated with the application and after a second transition from the operation according to the second mode to the operation according to the first mode, second data associated with the application, the first monitoring occasion and the second monitoring occasion being in accordance with a frame periodicity associated with the application.
