1. A biometric information authentication device, comprising
a digital processor that, during biometric authentication by comparing biometric information of a user read by a biometric information sensor to preliminarily registered biometric information of a registered person, issues a notification to encourage the user to register different biometric information when a predetermined condition for determining that a subsequent biometric authentication after a current successful biometric authentication may not succeed,
wherein the digital processor has an authentication threshold value used for biometric authentication and a notification threshold value for deciding whether or not issuing a notification, and when the predetermined condition for determining that an authentication score obtained by comparing the biometric information to the registered biometric information is not less than the authentication threshold value and not more than the notification threshold value is met, the digital processor both authenticates the user, and issues a notification to encourage the user to register different biometric information, and
wherein the different biometric information that the user is encouraged to register is biometric information concerning a different portion of the body of the user.
