1. A system, comprising:
a processor; and
a memory coupled to the processor, comprising instructions that cause the processor to perform operations comprising:
in response to receiving first monitoring data for a first computing system from a first collector, associating the first computing system with a first cluster of a group of clusters that corresponds to the first collector, wherein the associating indicates that first monitoring data, for the first computing system that is received from the first collector, is recognized as valid, and that second monitoring data, for the first computing system that is received from a collector other than the first collector, is not recognized as valid;
in response to receiving the second monitoring data for the first computing system from a second collector, and in response to determining that a first similarity value between the first computing system and first computing systems of the first collector is less than a second similarity value between the first computing system and second computing systems of the second collector, changing an association of the first computing system from the first cluster to a second cluster of the group of clusters that corresponds to the second collector, wherein the first collector is recognized as the valid source of third monitoring data of the first computer systems, and wherein the second collector is recognized as the valid source of fourth monitoring data of the second computer systems; and
in response to changing the association of the first computing system from the first cluster to the second cluster, storing fifth monitoring data for the first computing system that is received from the second collector and disregarding sixth monitoring data for the first computing system that is received from the first collector.
