1. A road taping machine for applying pavement tape to a pavement surface, the road taping machine comprising:
a rear drive section comprising:
a power module;
at least one rear wheel configured to engage the pavement surface and support the rear drive section relative thereto; and
a rear frame to which the power module and the at least one rear wheel are attached, the rear frame defining a rear centerline axis;
a front applicator section comprising:
an applicator assembly configured to apply the pavement tape to the pavement surface, the applicator assembly comprising a tamping roller; and
a front frame to which the tamping roller is attached, the front frame having a front centerline axis;
a displacer configured to allow the front frame to translate laterally with respect to the rear frame to selectively align or offset the front centerline axis with respect to the rear centerline axis, the displacer comprising a fastener to fix the front frame to the rear frame to prevent relative lateral shifting.
