1. A putter type golf club head comprising:
a putter face defined by a toe end, a heel end, a top rail and a sole, the putter type club face comprising a plurality of first curved grooves and a plurality of second curved grooves, each of the first curved grooves and the second curved grooves, and a plurality of land portions between the first curved grooves and the second curved grooves; wherein:
the plurality of first curved grooves are parallel to each other;
the plurality of second curved grooves are parallel to each other;
the plurality of first curved grooves intersect the plurality of second curved grooves at a plurality of points along the plurality of second curved grooves;
a width of at least one groove of the plurality of first curved grooves varies in a direction extending between the heel end and the toe end;
a width of at least one groove of the plurality of second curved grooves varies in a direction extending between the heel end and the toe end;
the land portions form areas on the putter face that contact a golf ball during impact;
the area of the land portions varies in a direction extending between the heel end and the toe end; and
the putter golf type club head has a loft angle less than 7 degrees.
