1. An apparatus comprising:
a medical device having a distal end and a proximal end,
the medical device comprising a lumen;
a stylet having a distal end and a proximal end,
the stylet includes a lumen, a distal port, and a proximal port;
a handle comprising:
an actuator connected to the proximal end of the medical device;
and a chamber portion connected to the actuator,
the chamber portion comprising a volume of space configured to volumetrically connect to the lumen of the medical device via the actuator;
and a plunger device disposed around the stylet proximal of the proximal port and within the chamber portion,
the plunger device including an outer edge in sealing contact with an inner wall of the chamber portion,
the outer edge of the plunger device operable to pneumatically isolate a proximal portion of a volume of air within the chamber portion from a distal portion of the volume of air within the chamber portion,
wherein proximal motion of the stylet is configured to cause proximal motion of the plunger device resulting in reduced pressure at the distal end of at least one of the medical device or the stylet.
