1. An ear-worn electronic hearing device configured to be worn by a wearer, comprising:
an enclosure configured to be supported by, at, in or on an ear of the wearer;
electronic circuitry disposed in the enclosure and comprising a wireless transceiver; and
an antenna disposed in or on the enclosure and operably coupled to the wireless transceiver, the antenna including an antenna element having a physical size and defining at least a first cutout group, a second cutout group, and a third cutout group, wherein each of the first and second cutout groups includes three or more cutouts disposed along a first edge of the antenna element, each cutout in the first and second cutout groups extends in a height or length direction less than half of a physical distance from the first edge of the antenna element to a second edge of the antenna element opposite the first edge of the antenna element, the cutouts of the first cutout group are separated from the cutouts of the second cutout group, the third cutout group includes three or more cutouts disposed along the second edge of the antenna element, each cutout of the third cutout group extends in the height or length direction less than half of the physical distance from the second edge of the antenna element to the first edge of the antenna element.
