analyzing, by the one or more processors, a social media account of the user to identify content that is associated with both, the at least one entity identified in the media stream and at least one social media interest of the user, wherein the analyzing the media stream populated on the display screen is simultaneous with the analyzing the social media account of the user;
generating, by the one or more processors, a hierarchy of additional content by tiering the content based, at least in part, on relevance of the content matched with the at least one entity identified in the media stream and the at least one social media interest of the user; and
generating, by the one or more processors, a customized media stream based, at least in part on the media stream and the hierarchy of additional content, wherein the customized media stream includes the media stream populated on the display screen of the user device with the hierarchy of additional content concurrently populated on a portion of the display screen as an interactable overlay on the media stream that does not obstruct the user from viewing the media stream.
