1. A method comprising:
receiving, a request to display media content at a user device associated with a device location;
selecting at least one frame from the media content, the at least one frame associated with an entity identifier;
determining, whether the selected at least one frame comprises objectionable subject matter;
in response to determining that the selected at least one frame comprises objectionable subject matter, retrieving from a database a plurality of entity identifiers associated with the device location, each of the plurality of entity identifiers corresponding to entity protocols;
in response to determining that the entity identifier does not match the plurality of entity identifiers associated with the device location, comparing the objectionable subject matter of the media content to subject matter of an entity associated with the entity identifier, wherein the comparison comprises a listing of content elements associated with the media content and the entity associated with the entity identifier;
determining, based on the comparison, that a threshold amount of content elements associated with the media content and the entity associated with the entity identifier are significantly related; and
performing a masking action on the at least one frame to render the entity identifier unperceivable by a viewer of the media content.
