1. A computing system, comprising:
a processor; and
memory storing instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to perform acts comprising:
receiving, by way of a network, a code that is generated by an iris scanning device based upon an image of an iris of a first scanned user, wherein the image of the iris of the first scanned user is captured by way of the iris scanning device, wherein the iris scanning device discards the image of the iris of the first scanned user and the code generated based upon the image of the iris of the first scanned user responsive to transmission of the code, wherein a permitted operator is responsible for the iris scanning device such that the permitted operator is permitted to operate the iris scanning device for scanning irises of users other than the permitted operator;
executing a search over a plurality of codes stored in a data store based upon the code generated based upon the image of the iris of the first scanned user, wherein the plurality of codes are generated based upon images of irises of a plurality of users;
determining whether the code generated based upon the image of the iris of the first scanned user is included in the plurality of codes based upon search results for the search;
based upon a determination that the code generated based upon the image of the iris of the first scanned user is not included in the plurality of codes, causing an amount of cryptocurrency to be transferred to a cryptocurrency wallet of the permitted operator, wherein the first scanned user and the permitted operator are different people and have different cryptocurrency wallets; and
subsequent to causing the amount of cryptocurrency to be transferred to the cryptocurrency wallet of the permitted operator, causing the code generated based upon the image of the iris of the first scanned user to be included in the plurality of codes in the data store.
