1. A liquid crystal apparatus comprising:
a first electrode;
a liquid crystal layer;
a second electrode facing the first electrode via the liquid crystal layer;
a first node electrically coupled to the first electrode;
a first switch having one end electrically coupled to the first node;
a second node electrically coupled to the other end of the first switch; and
a measurement circuit configured to apply a potential to each of the second node and the second electrode, wherein
the measurement circuit
brings the first switch into a conduction state and applies a potential to the second node and the second electrode so that a potential difference between the first electrode and the second electrode becomes a predetermined potential difference in a third period, and
brings the first switch into a non-conduction state and applies a feedback potential to the second node in a fourth period after the third period, the feedback potential being a potential based on the potential of the first node.
