1. A high-voltage storage device for a motor vehicle, comprising:
a plurality of battery cells;
a housing element on which the battery cells are held;
at least one longitudinal member on which the housing element is held and which has a safety distance from the battery cells in a distance direction, wherein
the longitudinal member has at least one target deformation region, via the design of which a target deformation of the longitudinal member in an event of a force action in the distance direction on the longitudinal member is defined such that the safety distance is maintained, and
the longitudinal member, in the target deformation region, has at least one profile which runs at an incline to the distance direction and which has a concave cross section and/or a convex cross section, by which the target deformation is defined.
