1. An ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus comprising:
an ultrasonic probe configured to transmit and receive an ultrasonic wave; and
processing circuitry configured to:
acquire an optical image of a subject housed in a housing containing a medium;
estimate state information of the subject from the optical image; and
set a scan condition of ultrasonic scanning for the subject based on the state information,
wherein the processing circuitry is configured to calculate, as the scan condition, an angle of view required for the ultrasonic scanning of the subject based on a size of the subject and a distance from the ultrasonic probe to the subject, the distance being estimated by the size of the subject included in the state information and the optical image.
