1. A communications method by a mobile device, comprising:
communicating over a first path between the mobile device and a first access point, wherein communication over the first path is associated with a first sequence number, and wherein the first sequence number is initiated when the mobile device registers with the first access point associated with the first path; and
communicating over a second path between the mobile device and a second access point, wherein communication over the second path is associated with a second sequence number, wherein the second sequence number is initiated when the mobile device registers with the second access point associated with the second path, wherein the second sequence number is different from the first sequence number, and wherein the mobile device communicates over the first path and the second path simultaneously.
