1. A computer-implemented method for automatically pairing two devices, the computer-implemented method comprising:
detecting a first type of movement from a first device, wherein the first type of movement from the first device is a sequence of ordered movements;
determining that the first device is located within a threshold distance of a second device when the first type of movement from the first device is detected;
determining whether an auto-pairing policy matches the first type of movement from the first device and the threshold distance between the first and second devices;
generating a new auto-pairing policy for when to automatically pair two devices based, at least in part, on historical device movement patterns, a length of previous device pairings, and proximities of devices performing the historical device movement patterns when previously paired; and
responsive to determining that the auto-pairing policy matches the first type of movement from the first device and the threshold distance between the first and second devices:
automatically pairing the first device and the second device.
