identify a classification contributing region in the endoscopic image, the classification contributing region contributing to the classification of one of the lesion regions contained in the endoscopic image;
generate a region image displaying a region in the endoscopic image, the region image displaying the region corresponding to the classification contributing region in a display manner different in accordance with a result of the classification of the one of the lesion regions; and
display the region image along with the endoscopic image on a monitor, a the region image being displayed at a position different from a position at which the endoscopic image is displayed.
