1. An imaging device comprising:
an image sensor that is configured to convert an optical image captured in a plurality of light receiving elements arranged in an array on an imaging surface into sensor signals, and output the sensor signals;
a modulator that is provided on a light receiving surface of the image sensor, and configured to modulate light by using a first grating pattern;
an exposure controller that is configured to determine an exposure condition based on the sensor signals, change a set exposure condition to the exposure condition as determined, and control exposure in accordance with the exposure condition as changed; and
an image processing unit that is configured to generate a second grating pattern corresponding to the first grating pattern, generate a moiré fringe image based on the second grating pattern and the sensor signals, and generate a photographed image based on the moiré fringe image; and
a controller,
wherein the exposure condition includes an exposure time of the image sensor and a transmittance of the modulator, and
wherein in a case where the controller controls the first grating pattern so as to perform time division fringe scanning for making the first grating pattern vary periodically at predetermined time intervals among a plurality of types of the fringe scanning, the exposure controller maintains the exposure condition during one period in which the first grating pattern varies.
