1. An apparatus for wireless communications comprising circuitry, including a transmitter, a receiver, a processor and memory, configured to:
receive a first set of payload data in a first message on an asynchronous physical uplink channel transmission;
transmit information indicating that the first message was received by the apparatus; and
receive a second set of payload data in a second message on a synchronous physical uplink channel transmission and based on the transmitted information.
