1. A method, comprising:
forming one or more downlink (DL) beams associated with subarrays of an antenna, the antenna being part of a communications system; and
performing polarization adjusting for signals associated with the one or more DL beams such that each of the signals is oriented in a particular polarization based on reference signal information provided by one or more user equipment, thereby improving signal reception by user equipment (UEs) associated with the one or more DL beams.
