1. A method comprising:
applying pulse power across a pair of lines that are arranged to carry a pulse power to a load, wherein the pulse power comprises alternating pulse on-time intervals and pulse off-time intervals; and
during a pulse off-time interval:
connecting at least one resistor of a known resistance across the lines for a period of time;
monitoring voltage across the pair of lines prior to connecting the at least one resistor across the lines and after disconnecting the at least one resistor from across the pair of lines; and
based on the monitoring, determining a change in voltage across the pair of lines that represents voltage droop from a leakage or unknown fault body resistance.
