1. An information processing apparatus, comprising:
a central processing unit (CPU):
detect an object region, using at least one of a plurality of viewpoint images with different viewpoint positions;
set a plurality of distance measurement points in the detected object region;
generate distance measurement information regarding an object indicated by an image of the object region, wherein the distance measurement information is generated based on a parallax calculated for each of the plurality of distance measurement points using the plurality of viewpoint images; and
track the object based on the generated distance measurement information and a result of the detection of the object region.
