1. A method comprising:
collecting consumer information at a computing platform to enable transactions associated with a consumer, the consumer information including identifying information for one or more accounts of the consumer;
receiving an approval of a transaction from a merchant at the computing platform, wherein:
the approval identifies the consumer,
the transaction includes a payable between the consumer and the merchant, and
the approval provides an accounting of an amount due to the merchant;
transmitting a first message from the computing platform to a computing device of the consumer, wherein the first message includes:
a description of the transaction,
a notification of the approval,
the amount due to the merchant,
an option to make a partial payment of the amount due to the merchant,
an account from the one or more accounts of the consumer, and
a code for the consumer to specifically authorize the partial payment using the account of the consumer;
receiving, at the computing platform, a second message from the computing device containing the code;
using the code to disambiguate among a plurality of messages with the computing platform, wherein disambiguating among the plurality of messages further includes analyzing one or more of a messaging history for the consumer, historical behavior of the consumer, and outstanding transactions for the consumer;
in response to receiving the code, initiating the partial payment from the account of the consumer to the merchant; and
updating the accounting to reflect the partial payment.
