1. A computer-implemented method comprising:
receiving, at a user interface of a first page of an electronic marketplace application, user input that specifies an item, the item being a candidate for purchase at the electronic marketplace application;
in response to the receiving of the user input, encoding the user input as a flag or data signal indicative of a user request to place the item in a fulfillment center, the fulfillment center is indicative of a physical location from which one or more logistics providers fulfill buyer orders from the electronic marketplace application;
in response to the encoding of the user input as a flag or data signal, accessing, from computer memory, a data structure that indicates a quantity of computer user activity for the item and for each geographical region of a plurality of geographical regions, wherein the quantity of computer user activity being indicative of a consumer demand of the item for each geographical region, each geographical region including one or more fulfillment centers;
in response to the accessing, from computer memory, of the data structure, causing generation, at the first page, of one or more user interface elements that superimpose data objects that indicate the computer user activity over a map, wherein the superimposing is indicated at the plurality of geographical regions that include one or more fulfillment centers, wherein the first page also includes one or more other user interface elements that indicate each fulfilment center, of the one or more fulfillment centers, and a respective geographical region that the fulfilment center is in; and
based on a user selection associated with the one or more user interface elements or the one or more other user interface elements, selecting a first fulfillment center within a first geographical region, of the plurality of geographical regions, that the item is to be transported to.
