1. A method of guiding an application userbase through application use comprising:
executing an application that coordinates users with real-world tasks, wherein the application further tracks a performance criterion of a first user in response to performing the real-world tasks coordinated by the application, and wherein each of the real-world tasks comprises a short-term, temporary employment opportunity;
evaluating the performance criterion of the first user in response to completing the real-world tasks;
in response to said evaluating, associating application badges to a user account of the first user,
wherein the application badges are indicative of a progression in a given skill level associated with the real-world tasks and displayed to the first user via a graphic user interface with graphic icons,
wherein each of the application badges comprises a type of incentive and a degree of expendability, wherein the type of incentive is privilege related or reward related, and wherein the degree of expendability is permanent, temporary, or fungible,
wherein a permanent application badge is held without expiration, a temporary application badge is held for a predetermined period or for as long as the first user satisfies a requirement, and a fungible application badge is spent by the first user to obtain a reward; and
activating an application function of the application, via the graphic user interface, for the first user based on the application badges associated with the user account of the first user, wherein the application function is associated with the real-world tasks, wherein activating the application function comprises modifying the graphic user interface by including a previously unincluded controllable feature that increases an administrative privilege of the first user, and wherein an increase in the administrative privilege corresponds to performing an operation associated with an employer of the first user.
