1. A method, comprising:
analyzing a plurality of change candidates with respect to a potential change in a lane closure corresponding to a lane of a road, wherein individual change candidates of the plurality of change candidates are determined based at least on respective determinations as to whether a change has occurred with respect to at least one lane closure object associated with the lane of the road, and wherein the respective determinations are based at least on one or more differences between sensor data and map data with respect to the at least one lane closure object, the sensor data being obtained using one or more sensors of one or more vehicles;
determining, based at least on the analyzing of the plurality of change candidates, a final change candidate corresponding to a determination as to whether the potential change occurred; and
providing the final change candidate for updating lane element data of the map data that corresponds to the lane of the road, the updating of the lane element data including updating at least an indication related to closure of the lane of the road.
