1. A fluid turbine assembly comprising:
a housing;
a turbine located inside the housing and configured to rotate about a rotational axis, the turbine including a rotor having an outer surface and a plurality of blades which protrude from the outer surface of the rotor;
a funnel configured to collect and convey fluid stream energy into the housing through a fluid inlet opening and direct the collected fluid stream energy into the housing in a first direction toward the outer surface of the rotor, the first direction being perpendicular to the rotational axis, said funnel having a front entry,
wherein the turbine is configured to rotate about the rotational axis independently of the funnel and the housing,
wherein the funnel and the housing are configured to rotate together about the rotational axis independently of the turbine.
