1. An unducted thrust producing system, the unducted thrust producing system comprising:
a rotating element and a stationary element,
wherein the unducted thrust producing system utilizes a single rotating propeller assembly comprising the rotating element;
wherein the rotating element is driven via a speed reduction device to rotate about an axis;
wherein the stationary element is aft of the rotating element of the single rotating propeller assembly;
wherein two or more vanes of the stationary element includes a shroud distally from the axis;
wherein a span of the two or more vanes, including the shroud, is shorter than a span of a blade of the rotating element;
wherein the rotating element has a plurality of blades, and the stationary element has a plurality of vanes configured to impart a change in tangential velocity of air from the rotating element, the change in tangential velocity being opposite to that imparted to the air by the rotating element; and
wherein:
the speed reduction device is located forward of both the rotating element and the stationary element; or
the speed reduction device is located between the rotating element and the stationary element.
