1. A method, comprising:
flowing a first fluid from a first zone of a first side track well of a mother well through a first completion module disposed in the first zone of the first side track well, the first completion module comprises a first tube and a second tube, wherein the first tube is disposed exterior of the second tube and conducts the first fluid from the first zone into the second tube, the first completion module further comprises a first flow control valve configured to control flow of the first fluid between the first tube and the second tube and a first flowmeter comprising one or more electromagnetic acoustic transducer (EMAT) ring pairs, wherein each of the electromagnetic acoustic transducer (EMAT) ring pairs comprises an electromagnetic acoustic transducer (EMAT) sensor placed around an exterior of the first tube;
measuring a first travel time of an acoustic wave generated by a first electromagnetic acoustic transducer (EMAT) ring and received by a second electromagnetic acoustic transducer (EMAT) ring of a first electromagnetic acoustic transducer (EMAT) ring pair;
measuring a second travel time of an acoustic wave generated by a second electromagnetic acoustic transducer (EMAT) ring and received by the first electromagnetic acoustic transducer (EMAT) ring of the first electromagnetic acoustic transducer (EMAT) ring pair; and
obtaining a first derived flow property of the first fluid from the first zone.
