1. A process for waterproofing a building or building part, comprising the steps of:
(A) producing a cross-linked waterproof membrane using the steps of:
(a) providing a support carrier comprising a spunbond polypropylene nonwoven fabric;
(b) precoating a side of the support carrier by
i) applying a precoating formulation to the support carrier,
ii) spreading of the precoating formulation using a scrapping doctor blade in contact with the support carrier to fill inter-fiber space in the support carrier, and
iii) drying,
to create a new surface to which a topcoat layer can bond;
(c) topcoating the new surface of the support carrier by
i) applying to the new surface a two-component polyurethane coating composition, wherein the two-component polyurethane coating composition comprises at least one material having hydroxyl-functional groups, and at least one polyisocyanate cross-linking agent with free isocyanate groups,
ii) spreading the two-component polyurethane coating composition with a doctor blade set at an opening gap from the new surface, and
iii) curing the topcoat layer in an oven at temperatures in the range of 90° to 140° C.
to produce a cross-linked waterproof membrane; and
(B) installing the cross-linked waterproof membrane on the building or building part with an adhesive.
