A method of making a cell composition for aerosol delivery, the method comprising: contacting an isolated and viable human Nkx2.1 positive, Sox 2 positive proximal airway multipotent progenitor cell with a propellant, wherein the proximal airway multipotent progenitor cell is committed to the lung lineage.
