1. A driver bit having a longitudinal axis, comprising:
a sidewall extending between a shank end and a bit end; and
a plurality of driving surfaces and removal surfaces disposed along the sidewall, wherein:
a tapering section of the sidewall tapers inwardly towards the longitudinal axis between about one degree and about three and three-fifths degrees from the shank end to a bit transition line; and
a vertical walled section of the sidewall forms a vertical surface relative to the longitudinal axis and is disposed between the bit transition line and the bit end, wherein:
the vertical walled section of the sidewall is offset in the clockwise direction from the tapering section of the sidewall by a rotation of between one degree and six degrees; and
a driving surface of the vertical walled section of the sidewall at the bit end is aligned with a driving surface of the tapering section of the sidewall to form a vertical line of insertion extending from the shank end to the bit end.
