1. A system to promote sleep comprising a processor configured to:
execute an autostart process for initiating a sleep session information gathering process;
receive a measured sleep data associated with user movement data during a sleep session;
process the user movement data to determine sleep factors with features derived from the user movement data;
measure ambient sleep conditions with one or more environmental sensors;
create a sleep record for the sleep session with the sleep factors and the ambient sleep conditions;
display the sleep factors on a display coupled to the processor; and
transmit the sleep record to a server,
wherein processor control instructions of the processor are configured to control the processor of a device to detect location of the device, and adjust a parameter of the sleep session information gathering process upon determination of a local time at the detected location.
