1. A method of generating an image, comprising:
receiving, on a plurality of sensing elements of a sensor array, electromagnetic radiation during a first time period from a first environment, wherein the electromagnetic radiation comprises radiation within a first range of wavelengths and radiation within a second range of wavelengths;
generating, during a second time period, a first set of visible image data in response to the electromagnetic radiation received in the first range of wavelengths on a first portion of the sensor array during the first time period;
generating, during the second time period, a first set of electromagnetic image data in response to the electromagnetic radiation received in the second range of wavelengths on the first portion of the sensor array during the first time period, wherein the first set of electromagnetic image data includes information relating to the intensities of the electromagnetic radiation in the second range of wavelengths received at the first portion of the sensor array during the first time period;
replacing or modifying at least some of the first set of visible image data generated during the second time period based on the first set of electromagnetic image data generated during the second time period; and
generating, during a third time period, a second set of visible image data in response to the electromagnetic radiation received in the first range of wavelengths on a second portion of the sensor array during the first time period, wherein the second time period occurs after the first time period, and the third time period occurs after the second time period.
