1. A process for heating using microwave energy, the process comprising:
subsequent to heating an article in a package having an energy control element using first microwave energy that has a frequency of not more than about 1200 MHz from a liquid to sterilize or pasteurize contents of the article sufficient for storage of the article in the package, reheating the article in the package with second microwave energy that has a frequency of at least about 2200 MHz to reheat the contents,
and
wherein the energy control element is positioned such that, during heating with the first microwave energy contents of the article are at least one of heated to a different temperature or heated at a different heating rate to sterilize or pasteurize the contents of the article as compared to reheating the article with the second microwave energy that does not require sterilization or pasteurization.
