15. A method for operating an electronic device, comprising:
obtaining, from an image sensor of the electronic device, a calibration image frame;
identifying, by processing circuitry of the electronic device, a projection of a fiducial marking in the calibration image frame, the fiducial marking being disposed on a lens element configured to direct light towards the image sensor;
comparing, by the processing circuitry of the electronic device, the projection of the fiducial marking to a baseline projection of the fiducial marking; and
determining, by the processing circuitry of the electronic device, a change in position of the lens element based on the comparison of the projection of the fiducial marking and the baseline projection of the fiducial marking.
