1. A connector assembly, comprising:
a receptacle module, comprising:
a cage having at least one accommodation space formed by a plurality of wall plates, the accommodation space having a front end and a back end opposite to the front end, and the accommodation space comprising an insertion space at the front end and an assembling space at the back end; and
a receptacle connector configured to be disposed in the assembling space movable from an initial position toward the back end, and comprising a first mating end facing the front end of the cage, the first mating end having a receptacle terminal portion and a receptacle alignment portion extending from a common face of the first mating end, wherein the receptacle terminal portion has a plurality of receptacle terminals, and the receptacle alignment portion comprises a first alignment protruded portion and a second alignment protruded portion; and
a pluggable module configured to be inserted into the accommodation space and moved from the front end to the back end to be inserted into the receptacle module, the pluggable module comprising:
a housing; and
a plug connector disposed in the housing and having a second mating end, the second mating end having a plug terminal portion and a plug alignment portion extending from a common face of the second mating end, wherein the plug terminal portion has a plurality of plug terminals, and the plug alignment portion comprises a third alignment recessed portion and a fourth alignment recessed portion;
wherein, in the alignment and connection relationship between the receptacle connector and the plug connector, the third alignment recessed portion is to be mated and aligned with the first alignment protruded portion, and the fourth alignment recessed portion is to be mated and aligned with the second alignment protruded portion, and
wherein the mating between the first alignment protruded portion and third alignment recessed portion is configured to occur before the mating between the second alignment protruded portion and the fourth alignment recessed portion.
