1. A display device comprising:
a display panel including a plurality of pixels, each of the plurality of pixels being connected to a respective data line and a respective gate line;
a data driver configured to apply a data voltage to the data line;
a gate driver for applying a scan signal to the gate line;
a light-emission signal generator for applying a light-emission signal to the plurality of pixels; and
a controller configured to operate the display device based on a plurality of bands, wherein the plurality of bands have different highest target luminance levels based on operating environments of the display device,
wherein in at least one of the plurality of bands, a duty ratio of the light-emission signal is smaller than a period during which the data voltage is not applied,
wherein in at least one of the plurality of bands, a duty ratio of the light-emission signal is fixed.
