1. A system, comprising:
a three-dimensional (3D) scanning element;
an electronic data storage configured to store a database including fields for 3D scan data and a 3D model of an article of apparel;
a processor, coupled to the 3D scanning element and the electronic data storage, configured to:
obtain 3D scan data of a body part of a subject from the 3D scanning element;
generate a heat diagram indicative of one or more points of discomfort over a region of the body part based on at least one of: user input or a comparison of the 3D scan data to the 3D model; and
generate a recommendation for the article of apparel based on the one or more points of discomfort; and
a user interface, coupled to the processor, configured to display the heat diagram and present the recommendation.
