1. An apparatus comprising:
a sensor configured to collect data;
memory configured to store positions determined from data collected by the sensor for prior objects, wherein the stored positions comprise respective vertical and horizontal positions within an image frame for each of the prior objects; and
at least one processor configured to:
determine, based on a maximum and minimum of the stored vertical positions and a maximum and minimum of the stored horizontal positions, a first area to begin scanning within the image frame for a current object, wherein the current object is different from the prior objects; and
scan within the first area to detect the current object.
