1. A database management system comprising:
a control plane comprising a memory having computer-readable instructions stored thereon and a processor that executes computer-readable instructions to:
execute one or more services running on the control plane, the control plane connected to a data plane having one or more database servers; and
communicate with each of the one or more database servers of the data plane using a single communication channel and a plurality of data streams,
wherein the control plane is on a first cloud account and at least a portion of the data plane is on a second cloud account.
