1. A positioning system, comprising:
a first mobile device, comprising:
one or more receivers configured to receive sequences of positioning signals from one or more additional devices, each sequence of positioning signals including a plurality of signals each including an identifier of the one or more additional devices from which at least one of the plurality of signals is transmitted, an indication of an amplitude of the signal as transmitted by the additional device, and a count value designating position of the signal within the received sequences of positioning signals; and
one or more processors coupled to the one or more receivers, the one or more processors configured to:
receive a first sequence of positioning signals from a first of the one or more additional devices;
determine an amplitude of each positioning signal of the first sequence as received at the first mobile device;
for each of the received positioning signals of the first sequence, compare the determined amplitude of the positioning signal as received with the indication of the amplitude of the signal as transmitted; and
determine from the comparing for each of the received positioning signals of the first sequence a distance from the first mobile device to the first of the additional devices.
