1. A biodegradable and/or compostable thermoplastic composition comprising:
a. 30 to 70% by weight of lignin;
b. 30 to 60% by weight of a rigid polymer; and
c. 10 to 40% by weight of a flexible polymer;
wherein the rigid polymer is poly(hydroxybutyrate (PHB); and
the flexible polymer is poly(butylene adipate-co-terephthalate) (PBAT).
