1. An electrical fixture accessibility device comprising:
a. a stationary component comprising:
a housing having a mounting plate mountable to a flat or angled surface, the housing at least partially enclosing:
a multi-channel spool comprising a plurality of channels;
a plurality of support cables, respective first ends of the plurality of support cables being associated with a respective one of the plurality of channels of the multi-channel spool;
a drive mechanism coupled to the multi-channel spool, wherein the drive mechanism is configured to rotate the spool to unwind or wind the plurality of support cables from their respective channels; and
a first electrical connector, and
b. a movable component comprising:
respective connections to respective second ends of the plurality of support cables; and
a second electrical connector releasably engageable with the first electrical connector, wherein an axis of rotation of the multi-channel spool is oriented substantially perpendicular to the mounting plate of the housing.
