1. A door assembly for a seat unit, comprising:
a door support member;
a sliding door having a primary track, the sliding door mounted on the door support member for movement along the primary track between a retracted position and at least one deployed position in a normal operation mode;
a dual operation slide device at least partially disposed within the door support member for engagement by the primary track, the dual operation slide device including:
a carriage device slidably connected to the primary track to enable lateral movement of the sliding door in the normal operation mode;
a carriage station locked to the carriage device when the sliding door is in the normal operation mode;
a mechanical fuse assembly that triggers automatic release of the carriage device from the carriage station in response to a threshold force applied to the sliding door in a direction of the door support member in a backup operation mode; and
a linked trigger and release mechanism that enables simultaneous triggering of the backup operation mode while releasing the carriage device from the carriage station; and
a secondary track for receiving the carriage device released from the carriage station in the backup operation mode, wherein the carriage device switches from connection with the primary track in the normal operation mode to slidable engagement with the secondary track in the backup operation mode, the carriage device moves between the at least one deployed position and the retracted position when the carriage device is unlocked from the carriage station in the backup operation mode.
