1. A therapeutic medical device comprising:
a cardiac sensing electrode configured to receive electrocardiogram (ECG) data indicative of cardiac activity of a patient;
a therapy delivery device that includes a therapy pad and an electrically conductive gel;
a user interface configured to provide a stimulus to the patient, wherein the stimulus is at least one of a visual, aural, or tactile stimulus;
a multicore processor comprising:
a first processor core configured to detect an arrhythmia condition based on the cardiac activity of the patient, generate a service request that is responsive to the detected arrhythmia condition, and initiate a treatment of the arrhythmia condition using the therapy delivery device, and
a second processor core that is configured to receive the service request from the first processor core and control the user interface to provide the stimulus to the patient; and
a node that is coupled to the multicore processor, the therapy delivery device, and the cardiac sensing electrode, wherein the node transmits a gel application signal to the therapy delivery device,
wherein, responsive to receiving the gel application signal, the therapy delivery device is configured to apply the electrically conductive gel between the therapy pad and the patient.
