1. A method for treating or ameliorating inflammation and/or treating a disease in a subject in need thereof, the method comprising administering a dry powder inhaler composition that consists of a micronized formulation of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) particles, wherein the NSAID particles and composition are carrier-free, wherein the NSAID particles consist of pure and excipient-free, undiluted NSAID, wherein the composition has a respirable fraction (RF) value of at least 50% and wherein the NSAID possesses anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial activities, wherein the composition is administered by inhalation delivery to the airways of the subject's lungs.
