1. A temperature sensing device for use with a cooking appliance, the temperature sensing device comprising:
a temperature sensor configured to measure a temperature of a cooking chamber of the cooking appliance;
a housing configured to be mounted on the cooking appliance;
a temperature gauge including a needle configured to indicate the measured temperature of the cooking chamber;
a motor inside the housing and configured to actuate the needle of the temperature gauge; and
a phase change material located between the motor and an exterior surface of the cooking appliance, the phase change material is configured to absorb heat from the cooking appliance without an increase temperature thereof at a phase change temperature of the phase change material.
