1. A method for increasing capacity of a wireless data communication system, said method comprising the steps of:
receiving, at a subscriber station, data on a first frequency in a frequency band expected to experience low interference;
transmitting, at said subscriber station, data on a second frequency in a frequency band expected to experience high interference,
wherein said low interference frequency band and said high interference frequency are separated by at least one octave; and
wherein at least a portion of said receiving and at least a portion of said transmitting occur at the same time.
